There's a guide up at FreeCollegeBlog to help anyone find and apply for scholarships online.

Basically, there's a ton of free online profile based searches you can use to find scholarships.  Once you register with your individual academic criteria, they know what kind of awards you are eligible for.

You can also use Google operators and modifications to filter out excessively commercial sites that don't help much.  Just click the link in the upper-right hand corner announcement box to check that out - add scholarship to your search terms and you'll find awards that are available on a school-by-school basis and awards funded by large charitable foundations.

Once you find the awards, you'll get a link to their application pages.  Just make sure your read all the directions and follow them to the letter.  Do your best to make the application organized and generally high quality.
