I saw some massage therapy schools are accredited. Does the school have to be accredited if all you get is a certificate? It's not like you get a degree. You have to take a national exam to get a license, so does it matter whether the school is accredited? I'm asking because I found a community college that offers a massage therapy program, but it doesn't say if it's accredited.

Nobody "has" to be accredited. But certification from accredited institutions has much more utility. What you want to do is to go to the web and find out which agency in your jurisdiction licenses message therapists and see what they say about certification.

Good luck.
